Who Am I?
My Name is Nimda. I am just another one of those people who are very concerned about the misinformation out there in the media about nutrition and whats true and not. I have decided that I want to do something about it. That is the purpose of this blog.
I have raised two kids. My daughter had severe food allergies and my son had ADHD. It was a constant struggle sorting through the information and trying to decide what was right and what was just utter rubbish. The utter rubbish prevailed over the truth unfortunately. However, my wife and I didn’t give up but tried and tested every theory, diet and method to give our kids a normal life as possible while they were growing up. It wasn’t easy but actually became very expensive. The internet was not affordable for everyone at the time so we had to buy expensive magazines and books for all of the latest information. Even then, we managed to raise our kids as healthy as possible.
My son still has a form of adult ADHD but is managing well with it even without drugs. My daughter still has allergies but not as severe as in childhood. She is careful what she eats and drinks and tries to maintain a reasonably healthy lifestyle.
The endevour of this blog is to find all of the latest research on foods and diets so that you can heave a good understanding of what is what in the world of fast diets and fad exercise regimes. If a blog such as this was around when I was raising my kids, it would have made life so much easier.
